Welcome to the website for development of the Eastern Washington and
San Juan Resource Management Plan (RMP). We hope this website will help
you stay up-to-date on the planning process and provide information
about how you can be involved in the process. We appreciate your
participation and look forward to continuing our work together.
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Spokane District will be preparing
an RMP and associated Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for 445,000
acres of public lands in Eastern Washington and the San Juan
Archipelago in Washington State. The map on the right shows the
boundaries of the planning area. Click on the map to view a larger
detailed map.
The Notice of Intent to prepare the RMP/EIS was published in the
Federal Register on April 30, 2010. This initiated a public scoping
period. During this period, the BLM will be conducting a number of
public open house meetings (see dates/times/locations below) to provide
additional information about the planning process. The BLM is also
asking for comments from the public regarding planning issues and the
scope of the plan and associated environmental analysis. Comments
should be submitted by June 25, 2010. See the Comment page for more
information.
If you would like to receive information about this project, see our Contacts page.
